The Opiate Detox process begins when someone takes the first step by calling our facility to find out more information about what we offer. The call, whether it is placed by the addict or by a loved one, will be answered by a detox representative in confidence. In some cases, the opiate-dependent person will be unable to get help alone. Instead, an intervention process may be necessary during with family and friends help to get the addict out of denial. A successful intervention means that the addict is willing to get help and Opiate Detox is the first step in this process. A Opiate Detox specialist will go over the options with either the opiate user or a close loved one. Unlike other detox facilities, patients at Opiate Detox will be able to choose whether or not further treatment is in their future. The “detox only” option is ideal for some people who believe that if their body is free of addictive substances than doing life is rather simple. We do advise our clients to carefully consider all of our options, including tracks that vary in treatment time and intensity. In most cases undergoing a more comprehensive form of treatment may be what ultimately keeps people away from going back to opiates in the long run.
